Bandwidth Lab

Description

Bandwidth Lab is a collection of experimental projects with a common theme: building tools for education and sharpening skills. The name comes from a fundamental observation about learning in the digital age—most information on the internet is encoded in text, which creates a bottleneck in how we consume knowledge. Reading, while powerful, is a limited interface with relatively low bandwidth for data transfer.

Primary Motivation

The human brain is capable of processing vast amounts of information, yet we're constrained by interfaces that evolved for a different era. Text requires sequential processing, limited by reading speed and comprehension. Bandwidth Lab explores ways to expand this bandwidth—whether through re-encoding existing text into richer formats, developing new modalities for knowledge transfer, or even investigating direct neural interfaces. The ultimate goal is to match the speed of knowledge acquisition to the speed of human curiosity and potential.
